Fort Hockey Development Summer Camps
August 2011
Dow Centennial Centre, Fort Saskatchewan
As we enter our second year of operation, we looked very seriously at the evaluation forms and feedback provided by participants from our 2010 summer camps last year. Overwhelmingly, participants commented on the high quality of instruction and the challenging variety of drills, with the element of a fun and positive learning environment. The parent feedback of having a low ratio of students to instructors, as well as a very cost effective program was tremendous.
Led again by Brett Cox, with 21 years of coaching experience at the AJHL, ACAC, WHL, and minor hockey levels, and Levi Lypka, current Midget AAA and former Bantam AAA coach with the Fort Saskatchewan Rangers program. Supported by some great young, local hockey talent, Fort Hockey Development is pleased to offer high quality camps in Fort Saskatchewan for a second year.
All on-ice sessions will focus on skill development, while maintaining enjoyment and fun for the game. All instructors share the same passion for learning, and the ability to relate to young players wanting to improve. Off-ice sessions may include swimming, video, individual and team games, and circuit training; exercises incorporating balance, agility, coordination, strength, and power. The camps are all designed to improve the skills and enjoyment for all players of all ages to be the best they can be.
