The Redwater Midget girls team consisted of 15 girls from The Redwater, Thorhild, Smoky Lake & Bon Accord area . Our Midget girl’s team has been very strong over the last four years as we have won the League Championship 4 years running!  One of the highlights of the season was winning the Silver Medal in the Edmonton Minor Hockey Week Tournament.  We finished in 4th place at the end of our regular League play but our girls worked very hard and managed to beat out all the other teams to play in the Finals.  The final game was a real “Nail Biter”   We played the Edmonton Triple Threat team & after two games it was tied.  We went into overtime & after 2 rounds of one on one Alyx Crawley scored the winning goal!  It was a great finish to the season.

We will be sorry to see our coach Ken Harrynuck leave us next year.  As well, we have 6 girls graduating High School and they too will be leaving the team.  We hope to see some new faces next year coming up from the Bantam Team.

Our two Female teams are registered in the Edmonton Minor Hockey League.  This is were they played last year,enjoyed it so they chose to stay.
This year we will have a Bantam Girls Team and a Midget Girls Team.  We do have a few Pee Wee girls, but they will be pulled up to play Bantam.
