This year the Mini Mite team started with four returning players and seven first year players who had never skated.  The coaches did a great job of teaching the kids to skate and preparing them for playing hockey.  They started playing games at the end of November and everyone did well.  The four returning players were able to be the team leaders and did a great job.  The first year players kept getting better each week. At our Valentines Day Classic tournament in Redwater the kids started to really gel and become a team.  Everyone's confidence was building.  They went to a tournament on March 6th and the team did amazing, they had so much heart and played  great.  Their last game was the best of the season with two of the youngest kids playing like never before.  The Redwater Rush Mini Mites were a team!  For the coaches and parents this year was a success.  The Mini Mite team has some great little hockey players ready to take on another year. The four players who were great leaders ready to move up to Novice, and the first year players ready to become the new leaders of the Mini Mites for next year.
