THIS YEARS SUCCESS - Novice 2010/2011 Season
Well another season over! It's been quite the year, we had some ups and downs, some wins some losses, but overall an enjoyable season. It was great to be a part of and watch the kids develop into the players they've become, from the first time skaters to the second years. This has been my first complete season as a coach and have learned a lot. I would like to thank our coaching staff, managers, and parents for their support this season......and as for the kids.....a HUGE THANK YOU is well deserved. With out them I would be just "Mike".
Thanks for a great year.

Our Novice team had a wonderful season and we had a lot of fun. In November we had a very impressive tournament with all of the teams saying that they were very pleased and enjoyed the challenge of our tournament. Our children won overall of our home tournament skating away with the goldice. With the money that we made we were able to buy our kids some very nice coats that they are all proud of. This year we ended the year with a bang in Vegreville for our last tournament of the season, the children had so much fun and played their hardest and as a result of their hard work they recieved a beautiful medal. We are so very proud of them. Thanks to the coaches Mike Beckett, Andy Onufrichuck, Wayne Williams and Greg Hicks without you guys there would not have been an awesome team to watch from the stands. Thanks to the parents who took those chances and ventured out on those cold days and horrible roads to get your child to their games this year. Jodi and I look forward to seeing everyone again next hockey season!

Is hockey hard?
I don't know, you tell me. We need to have the strength and the power of a football player, the stamina of a marathon runner, and the concentration of a brain surgeon, but we need to put all of this together while moving at high speeds on a cold and slippery surface while 5 other guys use clubs to try and kill us, oh yeah, did I mention that this whole time we're standing on blades 1/8 of an inch thick! Now is ice hockey hard? I don't know, you tell me!
